As per Notification No. LSGD/PD/24269/2024-EER1 dated 06.09.2024, published in the Extraordinary Gazette No. 2888 dated 07.09.2024 by the Director of Local Self Government Department (Rural), the number of seats to be filled through direct election in Mogral Puthur Grama Panchayat of Kasaragod District was fixed as 17. Based on the same, draft proposals for dividing the said Grama Panchayat into 17 constituencies and for determining the boundaries of such constituencies were published through Notification No. SDC/1022/2024/SDC2 dated 18.11.2024.
Time was allowed up to 04.12.2024 for submitting objections and opinions regarding the said proposals. The objections and opinions so received were duly examined, the complainants were heard in person, and after considering and disposing of the same, final orders have been issued under Section 10 of the Kerala Panchayat Raj Act, 1994, dividing Mogral Puthur Grama Panchayat into 17 constituencies and determining their boundaries as shown in the schedule attached herewith.
